Chamberlain is comprised of the College of Nursing and the College of Health Professions. The College of Nursing offers a three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program and flexible post-licensure programs, such as the RN to BSN option, Master of Science in Nursing degree program, Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program and graduate certificates. The College of Health Professions also offers the Master in Public Health, Master of Social Work and Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree programs.

Opportunity at a Glance:
We are interested in developing long-term relationships with superior instructors who have high professional standards, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and a commitment to providing the finest practitioner-focused education. We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. The face-to-face interaction is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis.
MSW Practicum-Integrated Course Faculty (specific requirements)
Faculty in this role teach courses that combine academic content and concurrent practicum education. These courses integrate social work theory, policy, research, and practice with competency-based practicum learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Teach asynchronous online courses with embedded practicum requirements.
- Support students in integrating classroom learning with practicum experiences.
- Create instructional videos and hold regular virtual office hours.
- Review practicum-related assignments and documentation.
- Participate in synchronous meetings with students, agency partners, and practicum personnel as needed.
- Conduct virtual practicum site visits and address practicum-related concerns in collaboration with program leadership.
- Demonstrate a commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Apply anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive approaches in teaching, supervision, and practice.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Be comfortable teaching, supervising, and engaging students in a fully online environment.
- Provide meaningful feedback and support student success through active engagement.
- Exhibit professionalism, responsiveness, and a collaborative spirit.
- Be proficient with online learning technologies and virtual communication platforms.
- Possess a genuine passion for educating and mentoring future social workers.
- Be able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from accredited institutions (or recognized international equivalents).
MSW Practicum Supervisors (MSW Required, LCSW preferred)
Practicum Supervisors provide educational supervision to students completing practicum experiences and support the development of professional identity and social work competencies consistent with CSWE standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekly individual and group supervision in a virtual environment for up to 10 MSW students.
- Support students in integrating classroom learning with professional practice.
- Collaborate with agency partners and maintain regular communication regarding student progress.
- Review practicum assignments and documentation.
- Support up to ten students concurrently and typically commit to supervising students across three or four consecutive eight-week sessions.

- Minimum five years of post-MSW professional social work experience.
- Expertise in anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and/or global social work practice.
- Prior graduate-level teaching experience preferred.
MSW Practicum Supervisors (MSW Required, LCSW preferred) specific requirements
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited program required.
- Minimum two years of post-MSW professional social work experience.
- Experience providing supervision, mentoring, practicum instruction, or student support preferred.
- LCSW or equivalent independent licensure strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive practice.
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $900/Earned Credit Hour to $1,275/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
