Job Description

The Senior Manager, Accreditation & Professional Regulation plays a key role in supporting new and existing campus development by coordinating all regulatory approval efforts with state and territory Boards of Nursing. Reporting to the Senior Director, Accreditation & Professional Regulation, this role leads state‑level regulatory relationships, manages approval processes, and supports accreditation and compliance initiatives across undergraduate prelicensure programs.

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with state regulatory agencies in advance of new campus development.
  • Represent the institution to regulatory agencies for new campus approval and existing campus program changes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to campus presidents for required reports and approval visits.

State Board of Nursing Approvals & Compliance

  • Manage the full approval process for state board nursing programs, including documentation, submission timing, visit coordination, and response development.
  • Oversee preparation and submission of applications, self‑studies, and reports in collaboration with the editor/writer.
  • Support approval, licensing, and compliance activities to meet all state nursing board requirements for undergraduate prelicensure programs.
  • Oversee College licensing and compliance in coordination with corporate licensing and compliance teams to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of regulatory matters.
  • Serve as a resource to the organization’s compliance department on state nursing board approval issues.

Curriculum, Accreditation, and Program Support

  • Provide guidance on undergraduate prelicensure curriculum development to ensure compliance with state and professional organization standards.
  • Assess standards of employee qualifications for new and established campuses, including reviewing campus president candidates.
  • Establish advisory committees for new campuses or online programs; lead inaugural meetings and support subsequent meetings as schedule permits.
  • Provide input and support for accreditation change reports related to campus development.
  • Participate in mock self‑assessment activities and coach faculty and staff through accreditation and regulatory approval processes.
  • Serve on committees focused on state regulatory compliance and new campus development.

Policy and Regulatory Oversight

  • Monitor fair and equitable application of student and academic policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulators, accreditation standards, and nursing practice.
  • Travel as needed to perform essential duties.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all institutional policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing required. PhD in Nursing or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or management experience in a higher education setting, including experience with assessment, accreditation, and regulatory approval processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and develop positive relationships with state agency personnel.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess state requirements that may not be explicit.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, editing, and computer skills.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336.75 and $140,851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
