Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

Reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations, the Senior Manager of Investor Relations is a key strategic partner, supporting the development and implementation of a proactive and comprehensive investor relations program, aligned with the Company’s business goals.

The Senior Manager will have a high degree of cross-functional collaboration within the organization, partnering closely with communications, finance, accounting, legal, strategy as well as with the leadership teams at each of our institutions. Through these relationships, the Senior Manager will develop deep institutional knowledge and play an active role in shaping and communicating the Company’s investment narrative with the broader investment community.

The position requires a high degree of interest and the ability to delve into the Company’s institutions and Growth with Purpose strategy as well as higher education and healthcare industries. A successful candidate will be passionate about connecting macro-economic, public policy, industry, and company specific factors into fundamental equity valuation to concisely communicate Adtalem's differentiated investment thesis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the quarterly earnings process; including preparation of the press release, presentation, prepared remarks, and Q&A.
  • Develop and maintain financial community facing content, including presentations and other investor facing materials.
  • Oversee the investor relations section of Adtalem’s corporate website, ensuring accuracy, securities law compliance, and best practices.
  • Lead prospective investor targeting and the coordination of investor outreach efforts including non-deal roadshows, conferences, investor days, etc.
  • Assist in preparing executive leadership for meetings with the investment community and provide feedback as well as post event analysis.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships, while serving as a point of contact with existing and potential shareholders and other financial community constituents.
  • Review and analyze sell-side research, including financial models, providing executive summaries.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to executive leadership regarding the investment community's perception.
  • Build and maintain an internal financial model, using various valuation methodologies.
  • Perform comprehensive competitive industry and company specific analysis and intelligence.
  • Manage vendor relationships to optimize investor relations team productivity, with benchmarking and networking opportunities through industry associations.
  • Serve as a mentor to cross functional team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or relevant field required.
  • 5+ minimum years progressive financial and leadership responsibilities within investor relations or the capital markets required.
  • Demonstrated success within an investor relations, equity research or finance function, including the co-development and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to translate company strategies into transparent, clear and concise messaging.
  • Strong analytical abilities, a solid foundation in corporate finance, financial and investment. terminology, and expertise in building models and understanding the metrics behind equity valuation.
  • Prior experience with executive level interaction, along with a demonstrated understanding and communication of complex business issues and capital market dynamics to an executive audience.
  • Form equity research positions and summaries, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis.
  • Comprehension of macro-economics, capital markets and trends, competitor activities, and key metrics for companies in the industry.
  • Knowledge of SEC laws, in particular Regulation FD, and securities disclosure and filing requirements.
  • Builds strong relationships and work effectively/credibly with executive level leadership.
  • Cultivates, develops and maintains a strong network of investment community relationships.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Preferred.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $140,000.00 and $170,000.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
